The firm traces its roots to Judge Adrian Duplantier, whom formed the firm in the early 1950s and subsequently served as a District Court Judge in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, and a Federal Judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. In 1975, Edward J. DeMartini moved the firm to Kenner, Louisiana. Roy M. D’Aquila joined the firm in 1979, succeeding Edward J DeMartini. Mr. D’Aquila served as managing partner from 1998 until he passed away in January 2012. Thereafter, Robert A. Contreras served as managing partner from 2012 until his untimely death in July 2018. Currently, Ronald J. Vega serves as managing partner and moved the firm to its new Metairie location.
